If you do not respond, the case will "time out." Similarly, if you accept a case and do not respond, it will also "time out." In most cases, the eConsult will be automatically assigned to a new specialist within that specialty.
Please feel free to decline a case for "Unavailability" if you are unable to respond within the allotted time. Declining a case does not count negatively towards you and is encouraged to ensure a timely response.
