Depending on your clinic organization's configurations and mobile policy, you may be able to upload video attachments to your eConsult using the RubiconMD Camera App.
Top Use Cases
- Neurology: Demonstrating tremors or abnormal movements.
- Orthopedics/Pain Management: Showing range of motion or physical limitations.
- Ophthalmology: Displaying visual impairments or eye movements.
- Pulmonology: Recording abnormal breathing patterns, sounds, or speech.
Using the RubiconMD Camera App in Practice
- Videos and photos are intended for non-urgent cases only.
- Required written documentation is still required to accompany the photo or video.
- Videos or photos should not replace other diagnostic imaging, such as ultrasound or CT scans.
- Auscultation: Avoid video attachments for capturing heart or lung sounds, as more specialized audio is more effective for these cases
- Suggested video length: less than 60 seconds
- Acceptable File Types: .3gp , .3g2 , .mp4 , .mov , .m4v
If you are on the web platform:
- Open the consult on your desktop computer
- Click "Add Attachment"
- Click "Add from another device"
- If you have an iOS or Android phone, download the RubiconMD Camera App to attach videos
- On your phone, go to the RubiconMD Camera App or rubiconmd.com/add and input the generated pin and click "Add Attachment"
As a note, please follow your clinic's mobile policy. Your experience may vary depending on clinic's configurations and settings.
