Who uses eConsults?
Primary care clinicians can submit an eConsult to 120 specialties and subspecialties about a patient or clinical case. Most common questions seek advice on a patient's diagnosis (e.g. based on abnormal labs, history, physical exam etc), treatment (e.g. after patient failed multiple treatment options, formulary changes, side effects from current regimen), and diagnostics/referral needs (e.g. is there a need for a biopsy, imaging, additional labs, etc).
